Summary:The study dwelled on how to develop an implementation procedure for design for environment (DFE) management program. A ferrous foundry manufacturing organization was the subject of comprehensive assessment and recommendations in this research. The main thrust of this work was to develop theory on how DFE could be comprehensively and consistently managed in daily business situation of product development. The use of DFE for foundry industry would go a long way in preserving the environment and improving plant performance.
