Abstract Piano performance strength evaluation is a new interdisciplinary subject. Its research involves physics, signal processing, human-computer interaction, music theory and music psychology, etc. This paper combines the knowledge of computer multimedia technology, signal processing and pattern recognition with music theory, through computer simulation comparison, classification and automatic recording of music score. The calculation of piano playing intensity can effectively combine the knowledge in the field of music and technology, realize the automatic discrimination of playing accuracy, and playa good auxiliary role in piano performance. The piano performance strength evaluation system has initially realized the automatic recognition function, which is expected to playa greater role in assisting music teaching. The results show that the overall performance of the system can achieve the expected goal, and can accurately evaluate the piano performance under the interference conditions.
