| Summary: | The Extensible Markup Language (XML) rapidly establishes itself as the de facto standard for presenting, storing, and exchanging semi structured data on the Internet. Querying large volume of XML data represents a bottleneck for several applications. Applications that require the confidential exchange of semi-structured data can benefit from end-to-end encryption. In this paper we present an end-to-end encrypted stream-querying technique to process very large volumes of XML data efficiently without revealing the query nor its result to a non-malicious but untrusted server. The overheads for encryption are found to be predictable and linear in time and space. |
