Abstract In order to investigate the development of a clinical care pathway for digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and to analyze the effectiveness and quality of its implementation, an analysis of the practice effectiveness of care management in digital subtraction angiography composite operating room is proposed. This research is a quasi- experiment research. By using a convenience sampling method, 160 patients who underwent digital subtraction angiography during September 2020 to September 2021 in a tertiary hospital in a city are selected, and they are divided into experiment group and control group by using a random number table. The experiment group adopts a clinical care pathway to implement the treatment and nursing process intervention, and the control group adopts the conventional treatment and nursing process currently used in the clinic for control. For the research tools, used a simplified version of the Chinese Hospital Inpatient Experience and Satisfaction Monitoring Scale (CHPESM scale) and a self-designed questionnaire are adopted. The indicators of the two groups are compared after digital subtraction angiography from four aspects, including clinical indicators, cost indicators, service indicators, and quality evaluation. The results show that the differences between the research subjects in the experiment group and the control group are not statistically significant (P>0.05) in terms of general demographic characteristics such as gender, age and education level, and are comparable. The differences in disease characteristics such as barthel score, history of hypertension and health knowledge acquisition and patient satisfaction between the research subjects in both groups before intervention are not statistically significant (P>0.05) and are comparable. The excellent rate of health knowledge mastery of patients in the experiment group after digital subtraction angiography is higher than that of the control group, and the number of cases of complications and discomfort symptoms is lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.01). The average hospitalization cost, average hospitalization day and cost-benefit ratio of patients in the experiment group are lower than those in the control group, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.01). The satisfaction of patients in the experiment group is higher than that in the control group, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.01). It is concluded that the development and application of a clinical care pathway for digital subtraction angiography is conducive to establishing a safe and convenient workflow for both doctors and patients, reducing medical costs and improving the quality of medical care services. The implementation effect of clinical nursing pathway is recognized by patients, doctors, nurses and relevant departments, but the publicity and informatization of the clinical care pathway should be further increased. Keywords: digital subtraction angiography (DSA); clinical care pathway (CNP); outcome evaluation
