교양으로서의 시장경제론, 무엇을 어떻게 가르칠 것인가?

이 논문은 교양으로서의 경제학, 특히 시장경제의 교육 내용과 교육 방법에 대해서 논하고 있다. 먼저 교육의 내용과 관련하여서 효율성과 형평성, 그리고 이 둘의 상호관련성에 대해서 논의한다. 이어서 경제학의 기초적 개념을 설명한 후, 개별 경제주체들의 합리적 선택 행위를 통한 수요와 공급의도출과 극대화의 원칙, 시장 조직에 대하여 설명한다. 그리고 교육 내용에는 시장실패에 대한 내용도반드시 언급되어야 함을 지적한다. 마지막으로 시장경제의 이해뿐만 아니라 교양과목으로서의 경제학과목을 제안한다. 교육 방법은 많은 양의 내용과 복잡한 이론보다는 핵심적인 내용을 일반성과 학술성을훼손하지 않는 범위 내에서 쉽고 직관적인 이해를 할 수 있도록 강의할 것을 권고한다. This paper discusses what to teach when it comes to teaching market economics as a course in general education, and how to teach it as well. The contents should include the concepts of efficiency and equity and also the manner in which they are intertwined. Following the introduction of basic concepts, the derivation of the demand and supply function based on the optimization principle, along with the market equilibrium under various market organizations, are to be explained. We also note that market failure should be taught to the students. The contents do not need to be extensive and complicated as long as the basic concepts are included. The method of teaching also does not need to use rigorous mathematical methods. Instead, it should be simple and sometimes even intuitive as long as it maintains a certain academic quality and standard. KCI Citation Count: 2
