PIT标记在野生动物个体识别中的应用研究

| Notes | Tagging methods for individual identification are useful for wildlife research and conservation.Traditional tagging or marking techniques generally have the disadvantage which influences the accuracy of individual identification,for example,tags can be lost,and sometimes the tag numbers themselves can become illegible,and tags can alter the physiology and behavior of or toward tagged individuals.Passive integrated transponder(PIT) has been gradually used to study and manage wildlife,because higher accuracy and effectiveness of individual identification have been obtained after the advent of PIT.Here,we briefly describe the hardware device and characteristics of PIT,summarize the application in animal behavior,physiology,conservation monitoring,breeding management,trade and utilization,discuss the advantages and limitations,and finally assess potential for future development and application.By integrating PIT technology with additional other relative instruments,PIT will play a more important role in the resea |
