Abstract Introduction. According to ICD-10, hypotension is classified as a disease of the circulatory system (section I00–I99). Arterial hypotension (code I95 in accordance with ICD-10) is defined as a decrease in systolic pressure below 100 mm Hg and diastolic pressure below 60 mm Hg. In the middle-aged group, arterial hypotension is a serious medical and social problem in both developed and developing countries. This trend is driven by longer life expectancy and a growing prevalence of cardiovascular conditions. Objective. To improve quality of life among middle-aged patients with hypotension through the development of an outpatient-based physical rehabilitation methodology. Participants and methods. The study was conducted at the Medical Rehabilitation Department of the University Clinic of Kharkiv National Medical University. During the study, 10 individuals of both sexes with hypotension were observed. The patients were of middle age, ranging from 40 to 60 years, with an average age of 46±1.7 years. The clinical picture included symptoms such as weakness, fatigue, nausea, headaches, memory loss, and impaired concentration. Blood pressure readings were below 100/60 mmHg in men and 95/60 mmHg in women.. Results and discussion. After conducting a questionnaire among patients with hypotension and analyzing their medical records, it became evident that physical rehabilitation and massage are highly beneficial. It is encouraging that the medical staff providing care demonstrated all the expected positive qualities, which significantly influenced overall treatment satisfaction. Thus, it has been established that the outpatient treatment of hypotension should include not only pharmacological therapy but also elements of therapeutic physical training. A well-designed physical rehabilitation program can, in most cases, not only reduce the symptoms associated with hypotension but also contribute to increasing patients’ life expectancy. Conclusion. It has been found out that after completing a course of physical rehabilitation, blood pressure indicators increased, confirming the effectiveness of therapeutic physical exercise. The questionnaire results also show a reduction in clinical symptoms of hypotension after the course of physical therapy.
