| Summary: | Public lighting is essential for urban quality of life and safety. With the advent of LED technology and increasing energy efficiency directives, its modernization has become increasingly important. This study developed a VBA algorithm to optimize the technological transition of public lighting, focusing on reducing simulation time and installed power. Using the lighting projects from Teresina/PI's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) as a reference, the algorithm was validated through comparisons with DIALux 4.13 software. The results demonstrated that the algorithm achieved a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) below 8% for luminance and illuminance calculations, indicating high accuracy. Furthermore, it significantly reduced simulation time, completing 13,161 simulations in 37 hours, compared to 2,121 simulations in 140 hours using DIALux. These results highlight the algorithm's efficiency and effectiveness. |
