Abstract Slowbalisation or Deglobalization represents the current international phenomenon. It refers to the process of weakening interdependence and integration among countries as the opposite concept of globalization, and refers to a phenomenon in which trade and investment decrease in economic relations among countries and reverse integration in political relations among countries. The causes of the deglobalization phenomenon are COVID-19, the refugee issue, and the hegemonic competition between the US and China. Since World War II, the global politics has changed in the order of pre-globalization/Cold War order, globalization/Post-Cold War order, and post-globalization/Neo-Cold War order. There is still debate as to whether the current situation is the era of post-globalization and the neo-Cold War, but it must be acknowledged that it is quite different from the era of globalization and the post-Cold War before the mid-2010s. International relations in the era of slowbalisation or deglobalization, which are distinct from the era of globalization, are characterized by the new Cold War, security-economy linkage, and value-interest linkage. In the future, The era of ‘reglobalization’ and ‘post neo-Cold War’ will return. But now we are living in the era of slowbalisation or deglobalization and the neo-Cold War. KCI Citation Count: 0
