Polyethylene（PE） is widely used for food contact materials with its superior performance. With the development of trade, the differences of laws and regulations between domestic and foreign have brought some troubles to Chinese import and export enterprises. Based on introducing the relevant laws and regulations on PE plastic as food contact materials in the developed countries, this paper compared the main differences of the safety and health standards of PE plastics as food contact materials at home and abroad. By referring to the relevant provisions of those developed countries, some advices on how to amend the standards of PE plastic molding products were given, so as to help Chinese export enterprises to improve the quality of products and reduce the resistance caused by the standard differences at home and abroad.
