According to the characteristics and problems existing in teaching process of programming foundation, in accordance with the idea of student-centered and ability-oriented learning, we put forward the application of the flipped classroom model to enhance teaching efficiency, including design of teaching process, the roles of teachers and students, and learning resources. Practical class teaching proves the effectiveness.
