XEG1属于GH12家族糖基水解酶,能降解植物细胞壁,是疫病菌攻击植物的关键"武器"。植物在利用抑制蛋白GIP1对XEG1的防卫过程中,疫霉菌能分泌失去酶活性的XEG1突变体——XLP1作为"诱饵"吸引抑制蛋白,掩护XEG1对植物的攻击。

Soybean produces an apoplastic glucanase inhibilor protein ( GIP1 ) that biMs to XEGI to bloek its contribution to virulence.
