Abstract_FL To determine the drought resistance of japonica rice and the genetic basis of plant height, this study uses 218 recombinant inbred lines from a cross between Xiaobaijingzi (upland rice) and Kongyu131 (Oryza sativa L.). Eight main-effect quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were detected for plant height in three places under drought stress and control conditions. The main-effect QTLs belong to three categories: four QTLs that were detected only in the control condition, three that were detected only in the drought condition and only one that were simultaneously detected in the control and drought conditions. Otherwise two QTLs that impact the difference between the drought stress and control conditions were detected.
