Abstract_FL A bridgeless pseudo-boost power factor correction ( PFC) converter is presented in this paper, which completely eliminates the diode rectifier bridge existed in the conventional boost PFC converter. The proposed converter has the characteristics of conventional PWM converter, and its voltage transfer ra-tio is similar to that of conventional boost converter, with no relation to resonant parameters and switching frequency, although it has resonant branch. The principle of Pseudo-Boost PFC converter was analyzed. It shows a traditional Boost PFC converter features whether in the AC input voltage of positive half cycle or in negative half cycle. To verify the validity of the proposed converter, digital control scheme of the control strategy in one cycle control was applied. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed converter output voltage stability, AC input current and voltage phase is the same, the power factor can reach 1, and with the function of the PFC converter.
