Abstract_FL In order to evaluate the uncertainty in the determination of arsenic (As) and plumbum (Pb) in tobacco flavor by u-sing graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry , we set up a new mathematical model and a cause -effect relationship diagram for the evaluation of the measurement uncertainty , and ascertained the components of various measurement uncertainties .The results showed that this measurement uncertainty mainly came from the repeatability and concentration of the tested samples .The standard uncertainty of As and Pb measurement results was 0.04 and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively.Under the conditions of k =2 and α=0.05, the expanded uncertainty of As and Pb measurement results was 0.08 and 0.04 mg/kg, respectively.

In order to evaluate the uncertainty in the determination of arsenic (As) and plumbum (Pb) in tobacco flavor by u- sing graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, we set up a new mathematical model and a cause-effect relationship diagram for the evaluation of the measurement uncertainty, and ascertained the components of various measurement uncertainties. The results showed that this measurement uncertainty mainly came from the repeatability and concentration of the tested samples.
