Abstract_FL Cerebral small vessel disease is the most common cause of vascular dementia and causes about one fifth of stroke, and we know it mainly through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at present. Features seen on MRI include lacunar infarction and lacunes, white matter hyperintensities, dilated Virchow-Robin space, cerebral microbleeds, and brain atrophy. This paper summarizes the research situation of the definition, grade and MRI sequence.
