The 7 - year - old Huangguan pear/P, betulaefolia was taken as the tested material, and the effects of different fer- tilizer application rates on the fruit developmental characteristics and quality of "Huangguan" pear were studied. The results indica- ted that: along with the increase of fertilizer application rate, the single - fruit weight increased significantly, especially in the period of fruit enlargement; the length/diameter value of the fruit increased gradually; the soluble solids content in the fruit also increased. The fertilizer amount had no regular effect on fruit hardness.
