Abstract In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between digital game addiction, digital parenting, intra-family relations, and social competence in early childhood. The research population consists of the parents of preschool children between 48–72 months old in Turkey. The convenient sampling method, one of the random variable sampling methods, was used in the study. To explain digital parent awareness, digital game addiction, social competence, relationships between parents, and the communication between parent and child in early childhood, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. According to the research findings, it was determined that digital parenting awareness direct and indirectly impressed positively the parent–child relationship and social competence in children while negatively digital game addiction. Also, digital parenting awareness directly affected wedlock positively and significantly level. The wedlock affected the parent–child relationship positively, digital game addiction negatively and significantly, and social competence positively and indirectly. Lastly, it was understood that social competence in children directly affects digital game addiction negatively at a significant level. It was concluded that digital game addiction, digital parenting, family relations, and social competence in early childhood have direct and/or indirect effects on each other. Cette étude vise à déterminer les relations entre l’addiction aux jeux numériques, la parentalité numérique, les relations familiales et la compétence sociale dans la petite enfance. La population de l’étude se compose de parents d’enfants d’âge préscolaire âgés de 48 à 72 mois en Turquie. La méthode d’échantillonnage commode, l’une des méthodes d’échantillonnage à variables aléatoires, a été utilisée dans l’étude. Le modèle d’enquête relationnelle, l’une des méthodes de recherche quantitative, a été utilisé pour expliquer la conscience parentale numérique, la dépendance aux jeux numériques, la compétence sociale, les relations interparentales et la communication entre les parents et les enfants dans la petite enfance. Les données ont été analysées à l’aide du modèle d’équation structurelle. Selon les résultats de la recherche, il a été déterminé que la conscience parentale numérique avait, directement et indirectement, un effet positif sur la relation parent–enfant et la compétence sociale des enfants, et un effet négatif sur l’addiction aux jeux numériques. En outre, il a été établi que la sensibilisation à la parentalité numérique a une incidence directe, positive et significative sur le mariage. Le mariage a un effet positif sur la relation parent–enfant, un effet négatif et significatif sur l’addiction aux jeux numériques et un effet positif et indirect sur la compétence sociale. Enfin, la compétence sociale des enfants a un effet négatif direct et significatif sur la dépendance aux jeux numériques. Il a été conclu que l’addiction aux jeux numériques, la parentalité numérique, les relations familiales et la compétence sociale ont des effets directs et/ou indirects les uns sur les autres dans la petite enfance.
