Abstract   This review was devoted to the technology and approach for improving nanosuspensions stability in drug delivery to retrieve the state-of-the-art nanosuspensions. The main content of the present review included the nanosuspensions’ preparation approach, methods and guidelines for selection and optimizing stabilizers, the approaches for enhancing stability, and the other influencing factors on the stability of the prepared nanosuspensions. For a given drug candidate having a set of properties, this review could be invoked as a reference in making an educated choice of stabilizer and improving the nanosuspensions’ stability, rather than a trial-and-error approach that is being practiced currently.
