Optimizing land use (LU) to achieve the goals of increasing economic benefits and ecosystem services value (ESV) is of great significance for sustainable LU. However, when constructing land use optimization (LUO) models, relevant studies overlooked the impact of construction land on the ecological environment regarding the objective of ecological benefits, and rarely combined the optimization of LU quantity and spatial layout. Therefore, this paper selected Landsat 8 remote sensing monitoring data and socio-economic data in Zhijiang County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, China, from 2010 to 2020. Next, this article divided construction land into urban-rural residence and industrial land to be introduced into the calculation of ecological benefit goals. In addition, integrated Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA), a land resource optimization model (PSO-GA model) was proposed to establish the functions of “Maximizing the economic output-Maximizing ESV-Minimizing the conversion cost of LU” in order to enhance the economic benefits and ESV. Finally, this research applied the landscape pattern index and land use intensity (LUI) to comprehensively analyze the rationality of LUO results. The findings revealed that: (1) ESV generated by construction land cannot be ignored. Research found that the average ESV generated by construction land was 404 million yuan. (2) LUO enhanced the economic benefits, ESV, and comprehensive benefits of counties. Research found that after optimization, the economic benefits, ESV, and comprehensive benefits of land resources in Zhijiang County increased by 4.56 %, 2.11 %, and 4.30 %, respectively. (3) The LUO model based on PSO-GA promoted the uniform development of county-level land, and the results are more reasonable. Research proved that the LUO model effectively improved the Shannon’s Diversity Index and the LUI comprehensive index in Zhijiang. In addition, the differences in LUI between regions narrowed, promoting the overall balanced development in Zhijiang. Using a LUO model to achieve the dual goals of “maximizing economic benefits and ESV”, this article affords a scientific fundamental to formulate regional sustainable LU planning, and provides a valuable reference for the LUO in counties along the river. |
