Abstract Conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis are common pathologies in the structure of inflammatory eye diseases. The article describes the experience of treating inflammation of the eyelids and conjunctiva of infectious and allergic etiology in an outpatient setting. Under the supervision of ophthalmologists, there were 64 patients with the above diagnoses, the treatment regimen of which included modern topical drugs, depending on the etiology and severity of inflammation. In accordance with the clinical recommendations developed by the Russian Association of Ophthalmologists, the following groups of drugs are recommended for use: antibacterial, antiseptic, antihistamines, glucocorticosteroids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. In the treatment of infectious blepharoconjunctivitis, a combined drug containing an antibacterial drug (tobramycin) and a corticosteroid (dexamethasone) — Rubrodex was successfully used. 0.05% moxifloxacin (Xaflom ®) eye drops have shown high efficacy, safety and good tolerability in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis in the context of an observed increase in antibiotic resistance of etiologically significant microflora. In relieving the symptoms of seasonal allergic blepharoconjunctivitis, efficacy and safety were demonstrated by the use of a new generation of dual-mechanism antihistamines epinastin 0.05% (Epinepta ®).
