Summary:The paper deals with the problem of statistics of small samples which are applied in the field of Adapted Physical Education as it is characterized by limited number of test subjects. Mann – Whitney method is identified. This method allows ascertaining the veracity of differences in obtained results of observations in small samples. Necessary conditions for its application are also indicated in the article. The possibility of using such method is shown on the example of the definition of the efficiency of the proposed methods for training sportsmen with disabilities.
