| Summary: | The paper is devoted to the study of subject relations in the metadiscursive expression of the process and results of scientific cognition in French linguistics. The contextual analysis of the language and speech units indicating the subject was carried out on the basis of the fragments of articles published following the results of the World Congress of French Linguistics in 2020 (CMLF 2020). The author shows an epistemological specificity of the linguistic object complicated by the coincidence of the language-object and the language-instrument. As a result of the study, four subject incarnations were identified, each of which has a special expression in the metadiscourse, which should be taken into account when reading and analyzing articles of a linguistic field in French. |
