Erik Thorbecke

Erik Thorbecke (February 17, 1929 – April 26, 2026) was an American development economist. He was a co-originator of the widely used Foster-Greer-Thorbecke poverty measure and played a significant role in the development and popularization of Social Accounting Matrix. He was H. E.
