Joybrato Mukherjee
Joybrato Mukherjee (born 29 September 1973) is a German professor of English linguistics and the president of the University of Cologne. When he took office as president of the University of Giessen in 2009, he was the youngest university president ever appointed in Germany. In June 2019, he was elected president of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD); he took office on 1 January 2020.
